Basic lighting The base of the lighting: The basic lighting brings light to the entire room and is, as its name suggests, the basis of the lighting. When designing the lighting of a room, it is important to focus first on the basic lighting. All other types of lighting will then graft on this light base. This lighting is obtained by means of a ceiling light, wall sconces directing the light towards the ceiling or recessed spotlights. For rooms whose surface is greater than 12m ², it is advisable to multiply the number of light points to obtain a uniform illumination over the entire volume. Our advice:   For successful basic lighting, opt for LED bulbs with a power output greater than 7W (75W equivalent) with an angle greater than 120 °. As soon as the room exceeds 12 / 15m², it is better to multiply the number of light points to avoid having to install a single source too powerful. Once basic lighting is complete, you can switch to functional, decorati...
